Welcome to Press Bars Camping!
Nestled on the edge of a charming Somerset village, at the foot of the Polden hills, our intimate campsite invites you to unwind and join us on our 2.5 acre homestead. Enjoy the beautiful countryside by day, then relax with a roaring fire under a blanket of stars. Don't forget to pack a torch, as the nights get dark out here!
We're committed to sustainability, using reclaimed materials & green energy wherever we can.
Whether you book our luxury safari tent or one of our spacious tent/campervan pitches, you will have access to our converted shipping container with 2 unisex toilet cubicles, family sized shower room, camp kitchen & outdoor BBQ area.
Fire-pits are welcome, as long as they are off the ground, & firewood is available to buy.
Due to keeping sheep & free range chickens, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the safari tent.
Discover Somerset
Step through our field gate and you’ll find yourself on a lovely public footpath that leads you straight to the enchanting Combe Hill woods. Here, you can soak in some truly spectacular views of our charming village and the rolling Somerset levels! If you've got the little ones with you, why not take them up to the tree swing on Dundon Beacon? It's such a fun adventure! We’re conveniently located on the B3151 between Street & Somerton, with Glastonbury, Langport, Wells, Yeovil & Bridgewater close by. Whether you fancy climbing the magnificent Tor, shopping at Clarke's Village, visiting a local nature reserve or simply popping over the road to the village pub, there's something here for everyone!

At Press Bars Camping we’ve sprinkled a bit of eco-magic everywhere, using materials that have had a fabulous second chance at life. We have solar panels soaking up the sunshine to give you hot showers and rainwater is re-used to flush the toilets. You'll notice that a lot of our campsite is crafted from reclaimed treasures and up-cycled gems, turning yesterday’s leftovers into today’s delightful experience!

Choose comfort, with our furnished safari tent. Brimming with rustic charm & eager to welcome you in, after a busy day exploring! With one plush double bed, a comfy sofa bed, and an extra sneaky single trundle bed available on request, it’s the perfect little nest for a family of four to camp out in style. Picture this: rolling into cozy evenings by the crackling log burner or gazing up at a twinkling tapestry of stars, all while munching on gooey marshmallows toasted to perfection over the fire!
Directions
When using SatNav to find us, please enter Press Bars Camping into search as just the postcode can sometimes take you to the middle of the village.
Arriving from the North (M5, A37/38) head through the village, the Castlebrook pub should be on your left & we are on your right, just past the pub, immediatly before the speed limit change.
Arriving from the South (A303) follow the B3151 from Somerton & as you enter the village, we are the first gate on the left. You may not see the sign from this direction but you will probably notice the large solar array. The entrance is directly after the speed limit change.
